The November 2011 General Meeting
An "end of the year" extravaganza packed with goodies - and the first goodies were a mountain of produce donated by members in aid of Caritas. This was followed by the handover by Paul to Caritas of a sizeable cheque collected by the Jávea U3A.
The Costa Blanca Male Voice Choir then gave us an amazing rendition of some classics and carols. This was a hard act to follow but the new Jávea U3A Anthem was unveiled and had members singing along in no time.
The highlight of the meeting was the 12 days of Christmas panto preformed by the Committee and associates and starring the brilliant Jackie Heaton. Choreography by Sally Wells, with music director Richard King.
The meeting finished with mince pies and sherry followed by a raffle draw.
